What I have Learned

What I have learned from other groups presentations was that a great deal has changed over time with technology. For starters, movies have come a long way since even 15 years ago. The movie group showed how 3D, the color and contrast has changed in movies over time. Movies used to be in just black and white with minimal animation. Recently, you can almost animate anything and make anything come to life. Now a days, people stand in front of a green screen and can essentially create anything. You can have people stand in front of a green screen and make it look like they are stranded in the middle of the ocean, or walking in the mountains. It is seriously amazing how far we have come with technology.
Another thing that the presentations have taught me was about video games. I have never really gotten into video games but their presentation taught me a lot. It showed me how new and improved video game systems cannot accept old videos games. This means it wants people to stay updated with the new games and systems. The animation in video games has come a long way as well. Old video games used to be 1D with not many color or effects. Now, the player is in charge of the video game. They can virtually do anything and not only that, but the effects are updated. A player can essentially pick and choose how a video game goes (ex- Grand theft auto) instead of how the past was, with just playing the basic game. This allows more exciting things to happen during the game, and always has a different end result. By having a different end result, it makes the player want to continue playing instead of going to play a different game.
